D.C. Judge James Boasberg issues a restraining order prohibiting President Trump from deporting illegal alien criminals to El Salvador and orders the President to have the plane return these hardened gang members to the U.S.
President Trump yawns and lets the plane continue to El Salvador, while at the same time questioning what kind of judge wants these dangerous men returned to our country. Concluding the judge is somehow demented, President Trump also calls for he impeachment of Judge Boasberg for issuing such an insane order.
In response, Chief Justice Roberts rebukes the President’s call for the judge’s impeachment as follows:
“For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision. The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose.”
To which, Sean Davis of The Federalist points out a most germane fact that seems to have been overlooked by Chief Justice Roberts:
And from there, The American Landscape will let you sort it out on your own to reach your own conclusion as to who is right in this situation: Judge Boasberg; Chief Justice Roberts; and/or President Trump.
Our vote, for the record, is that President Trump has done the correct thing in both refusing to comply with the judge’s insane order and then calling for the judge’s impeachment.
