While I am not a historian by formal education or academic affiliation, my postgraduate master’s and Doctoral educational scholarship has brought me to the unwavering conviction that if you don’t look back and give credence to history, you will fail to look forward with a well-rounded vision of what a society must do to remain “civil.”
I am on the cusp of entering my seventh decade of life, and from my days as an adolescent spent observing the 1960s to the present, I have witnessed over time a tremendous shift in the moral, civil, and ethical rules of personal accountability.
