A Letter to Eric Metaxas
Dear Sir:
As you may recall, some months ago, Mr. Metaxas interviewed me about The Declaration of Liberty.
At the time, he said it sounded “a bit insurrectioney.”
In return, I proposed it is really nothing more or less than a platform of ideas for patriots to demand that their government uphold and defend the Rule of Law, the Constitution and American Liberty. And, with that said, I would only presently add that this Declaration is certainly far less “insurrectioney” than were the actions taken by Dietrich Bonhoeffer to oppose the tyranny of his day in Nazi Germany—which Mr. Metaxas seemed to implicitly endorse in his book, Letter to the American Church.
Yesterday’s indictment of President Trump by the Biden Regime in order to retain its control over the levers of power makes this case in point.
